Equality, diversity
and inclusion policy

Introduction

The GO FAIR Foundation (referred to as GFF) actively promotes (gender) equality, diversity, and inclusion as a policy in hiring and in working with contractors. This policy ensures fair treatment and opportunity for all. The policy aims to eradicate prejudice and discrimination on the basis of an individual or group of individual's protected characteristics.

GFF’s (gender) equality means fairness: we must ensure that individuals, or groups of individuals, are not treated less favourably because of their protected characteristics.

Equality also means equality of opportunity: we must also ensure that those who may be disadvantaged can get the tools they need to access the same, fair opportunities as their peers.

 

GFF continues to aim to have a core workforce of 50% male and 50% female.

 

GFF’s diversity policy is recognising, respecting and celebrating each other's differences. A diverse environment is one with a wide range of backgrounds and mindsets, which allows for an empowered culture of creativity and innovation.

 

GFF’s inclusion policy means creating an environment where everyone feels welcome and valued. An inclusive environment can only be created once we are more aware of our unconscious biases, and have learned how to manage them.

 

The following items are the legal protected characteristics, under Article 1 of the Dutch Constitution: All persons in the Netherlands shall be treated equally in equal circumstances. Discrimination on the grounds of religion, belief, political opinion, race or sex or on any other grounds whatsoever shall not be permitted.

Respect for people and nondiscrimination

People are critical to the success of GFF, and our policy is to treat each person with fairness and respect.

GFF is an equal opportunity employer. We prohibit discrimination in decisions concerning recruitment, hiring, compensation, benefits, training, termination, promotions, or any other condition of employment or career development.

We will not tolerate the use of discriminatory action; unwelcome, unsolicited sexual advances or harassment; or any other remarks, jokes or conduct that create or foster an offensive or hostile work environment.
